Fix missed moments from video

Add the tags you missed by checking the match video, with AI suggestions you confirm.

← All help articles

  1. Get the match video into RugbyMetrics: film it with any phone ("Film" next to the match, in 2-minute pieces that upload by themselves), upload a file (any camera, Veo, Pixellot or GoPro, up to 8 GB), or link your club's own YouTube video. Set the kick-off of each half on the match video page (a film finds it from the match clock).
  2. Open "Review" for the match. Every "Missed it" marker you pressed live, and every suggestion the AI found, is listed in video order. "Jump" plays the video at that moment.
  3. For AI suggestions (a video file or film, not a YouTube link): press "Set the pitch" and tap its four corners on the picture (the camera needs to stay still, for example on a tripod or a fixed spot, so the four taps stay true), then "Analyse". It runs on your own device and nothing is sent anywhere; a half can be analysed first and the rest later. Tap "Tell me who is who" to name players by shirt number.
  4. Check every suggestion: Accept adds it as a normal tag, Edit changes what it was, who, or the time, Reject removes it. Keys: A accept, R reject, E edit, left and right arrows to move. Nothing is added until you accept it.

Good to know: AI suggestions are a head start, not a verdict: check before accepting. They find carries, tackles, rucks and mauls, lineouts, scrums, kicks and tries, and are most reliable when the whole pitch or one half is in view from a camera that does not move. On a handheld camera that follows the play they will find little, so use "Missed it" and the live tags.

A player's clips: tagged moments with their length.
